Information about YMCA Nelson and it’s services
Formed in 1860, YMCA Nelson is a registered charity that has been serving the Nelson / Tasman region for nearly 150 years.
Our main base of operations is located in Victory Square, Nelson. It includes administration facilities, education classrooms, sports hall and a new state of the art Early Childhood Education Center.
Our programmes and services are available to all members of the community and are based on identified community needs and not on the programmes ability to make a profit. Any surplus funds generated are used to support existing and new programmes.
Current programmes include a range of NZQA recognized education and training programmes, Children’s after-school care and holiday programmes, Early Childhood Education, Youth leadership and development programmes, as well as a range of sporting and recreational opportunities.
