At any day in the school holidays there are more than 4500 New Zealand children attending YMCA OSCAR Holiday Programmes and more than 1650 children attend YMCA OSCAR before or after school programmes
The YMCA operates 154 Y-OSCAR programmes throughout New Zealand almost all of which are either approved by Child Youth and Family or are awaiting approval. Y-OSCAR programmes include camping experiences, school holiday programmes and Before and After School Care services.
Delivering these services are a great team of trained and dedicated staff and volunteers. 420 paid staff and 200 volunteers ensure that children have a safe, fun and educational experience at camps and school holiday programmes while another 180 trained staff ensure our children are well looked after before and after school.
